Section 7: Cutting External Images

When performing the cutting operation, the Silhouette will only see the cut lines that have been created. The original image will be ignored during the cutting process. Though it is not necessary to do so, you may wish to look at the "Preview" screen prior to cutting in order to better understand what will be cut.
HOW TO: Preview Cut Line Information
In order to gain a better understanding of what your Silhouette can see to cut, you may do the following:
  1. Click on the Preview button OR go to the "File" menu and select "Preview". This will bring up the Preview window:

    The "Print & Cut Data" is defaulted to view both print information and cut line information.

  2. Click on the "Print Data" button to view the print data only, or in other words, what your printer can see.

  3. Click on the "Cut Data" button to view the cut data only, or in other words, what your Silhouette can see to cut.
