We have found that some users are unable to use the auto-install feature of the Silhouette CD. It appears certain software programs that are already loaded on some customers' computers have a rare tendency to hijack the installation process and call up another software program’s utility or recovery program, stop the installation program, or send it into a terminal loop. Rather than installing the program from the CD, we would direct you to download and install the latest software version directly from our website.

If further installation concerns are met, you may opt to install the software in a series of manual steps. In order to run an alternate install of the Silhouette software please perform the following steps, if needed:

1. Install software by using the alternate installation program on the Silhouette software CD. If you do not have the latest CD labeled version 5.01, you may download the full installation CD here.

(If using the downloaded CD from the link above, unzip and open the downloaded files and skip to step e)
a. Insert the Silhouette installation CD into the CD drive.
b. If the Silhouette installation automatically starts, cancel out of the installation.
c. Right-click on your “Start” menu and select “Explore”
d. Select the CD device labeled “Silhouette”
e. Select the “Graphtec Install Files” directory
f. Select and run “MultiSetup”
g. Select “Install Craft ROBO Software”
h. Follow prompts to install the ROBO Master software.

2. Install the online program, which allows you to purchase shapes from the "Purchase Online" function.

a. Download the online program
b. Run the program from your computer and follow prompts to install.

3. Run the library program to be able to access your images. You do not have to save this file. You may run it directly from the link provided.

4. If on a Vista 64-bit system, you will need to install the driver separately.
