Why am I unable to see the "My Library" or "Purchase Online" buttons?

Printer Friendly Version Print
If you cannot see some of the buttons on the left-hand side, your screen resolution is set too low. To fix this problem and be able to access the "My Library" and "Purchase Online" functions, you have a few options. You may either adjust your screen resolution, or open your library through an alternate menu.

If you wish to change your screen resolution, you will need to:
1. Go to your desktop
2. Right click and select “Properties”
3. Select the “Settings” tab
4. On the “Screen Resolution” setting, you will need to have the resolution set to at least 1024 by 768 pixels. (Your resolution is probably set to 800 by 600 pixels – anything higher will work)

This should enlarge your screen area and allow you to see the Library and Purchase Online buttons on the left hand side. Please note that by changing your screen resolution, however, all items on your computer will be affected and everything will appear smaller. If 800 by 600 pixels is the highest setting you are allowed, your monitor is most likely smaller and not designed to handle a larger amount of pixels.

If you do not want to adjust your computer settings to adjust your screen resolution, you may also find the buttons you are not seeing by going to the "Draw" menu found along the top of the Silhouette software window and selecting "My Library" from the drop-down menu. You’ll notice there are also other menu options on this “Draw” menu for buttons that are not visible below, such as the “Purchase Online” button.
